मेचकल्याणि
Kalyāṇi is among the most performed of all melas, the scale of grand ālāpana and long kṛtis. Its single prati madhyama over otherwise high natural notes gives it a lift that no other mela shares, and it is the direct counterpart of Hindustani Yaman.
