Pūriyā Dhanāśrī
पूरिया धनाश्री
Rich and devotional — the rāga of the closing day.
A sunset rāga combining the phrase-shapes of Pūriyā with the strong Pa of Dhanāśrī. Komal Re, komal Dha and tīvra Ma give it the deep colour of the Pūrvī family.

Cómo se mueve el rāga
Pa is the point of rest that distinguishes it from Pūriyā. Phrases twist around tīvra Ma and komal Re, with Ga used as a support for Re rather than a resting note in itself.

X = sam · 0 = khālī · 2, 3, 4 = tālī · one cell = one mātrā · – = sustain.
The mukhḍā approaches sam from Pa. Keep Ga tied to Re — a freestanding Ga makes the rāga sound like Pūrvī.
Notas de estudio
Puntos de estudio
Pa is the anchor
Strong Pa is what separates this from Pūriyā.
Ga supports Re
Use G M′ r G, r S rather than resting on Ga alone.
Sunset patience
The vilambit deserves a long ālāp; the rāga opens slowly.
