Bhairav
Ascetic, still and luminous — the rāga of first light.
One of the oldest named rāgas and the head of its own thāṭ. Komal Re and komal Dha are given a slow āndolan; the rest of the scale is śuddha, which gives Bhairav its clear, austere daylight.

上行、下行与帕卡德
Notation key — komal swaras in lower case, tīvra Ma written M′, mandra saptak marked ˌ and tār saptak with ′.
拉格如何行进
Both komal notes are oscillated, never struck straight. Ga and Pa are the pillars from which the oscillations hang. The rāga is developed slowly in the middle octave before opening into the tār saptak.
所用节奏循环
Jāgo mohan pyāre
X = sam · 0 = khālī · 2, 3, 4 = tālī · one cell = one mātrā · – = sustain.
A dawn composition of waking. Sing the mukhḍā with the oscillated komal Dha intact even at drut laya — dropping it is the most common error.
